April
1, 2014: Benson, AZ. A photo rundown of another day trip!
Today we visit Colossal
Cave County Park and nearby La Posta Quemada Ranch. They are located on the Old Spanish Trail not
far south of Saguaro National Park – Rincon District on the east side of
Tucson. Here’s a photo rundown of our
day.

The path leading to the gift shop at Colossal Cave. |
Prickly pear cactus with flowers blooming in around it. |
A view across the valley from the patio at the visitor center. |
Hedgehog cactus in bloom. |
Driving into the working ranch. |
Saddling up the girls for a trail ride. |
The ranch windmill amongst the saguaro. |
Brittle bush? Brittle brush? I think it's one of those. |
The ranch house now used as a museum, research library, and gift shop. |
And finally, the resident ranch house cat soaking up some rays. |
Hope you enjoyed the
pictures. Have a wonder day and as
always – be safe.
