A one year tour of the Americas and another boating excursion.

October 19, 2013
Just another European motorhome.
This couple with 2 young sons – and grandma in tow for two months – is on a 1 year adventure of the Americas.

They started at Cape Horn in Argentina, made their way up through Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Columbia, Central America and Mexico, and now into the US for the next two months, and ending in Halifax, Canada where their motorhome will be shipped back to their home country of France.

You name it – they’ve got it!
Luggage and the boys’ bikes on the roof of the cab.

Spare tires, a ladder, and a motorcycle (for emergencies he tells me) strapped on the back.

And everything - plus the kitchen sink - stuffed on the inside.  Imagine a year locked in this box with 2 little boys, your husband – plus your mother for a 2 month stretch.  Now that’s love.

Oh, the luxurious life of boating around Lake Powell.  Yes, that’s us – and our lifestyle for the day.
We meet up with Bob and Margie and climb on the boat for another day of fun.  First stop, Glen Canyon Dam.

The idling engine turns to a roar, and Bob takes us toward Antelope Canyon.

He maneuvers slowing through the canyon watching for obstacles in the water.  Bob tells us that when you reach the end of the waterway, it is still a 4 mile hike to Antelope Canyon, the slot canyon this area is famous for.

We meet kayakers and a tour boat in the canyon.

Sunny relaxes with Margie.

Back out in the main channel, we speed home.  This has been a wonderful experience with a very nice couple.  Thank you Bob and Margie.
