Tuesday, November 5, 2013: Katherine Landing BLM Campground, Bullhead City, AZ.
It seems cold weather has been chasing us since Colorado. We need some palm trees.
Ever since leaving Colorado
in early October, it seems cold weather has been nipping at our heels a good
share of the time. The wind whipped up on
Sunday and the temperature dropped. Monday
was no better. We decide to drive away
from this cold gorge and hunt for some palm trees.
We arrive at Lake Mohave and Katherine Landing BLM Campground to palm trees and windy weather – but thankfully, it is warm wind. We’ll take it!
After settling in we walk
down – or rather, are blown down – to the marina. It’s a sun shiny day and we try to appreciate
the warm wind, having come from a cold and windy gorge earlier in the day. We discover it is much easier being blown
down the hill to the marina, than clambering our way back up the hill with that
wonderful, warm wind in our faces.
Again, we’re just happy it’s warm!
It's a lovely marina - windy - but lovely. Until next time. Be safe.
